Oil spill observed |21 November 2014

Our photo shows a long streak of black oil observed late yesterday afternoon on the water near Nation office and close to Hodoul Island where several fishing boats are moored.

After a call to the green line we were informed that there have been reports of a spill since the day before and that concerned authorities are dealing with it.

We were told that it was not clear yet where it comes from but it was possible it came from a vessel in the port area as it seemed to be coming from that side.

The officer at the green line said there have also been complaints from the Marine Charter.
