Seypec opens new distribution centre |22 November 2014

The Seychelles Petroleum Company (Seypec) has relocated its services for the distribution of LPG cylinders, lubricants and kerosene to its new distribution centre located on Bois De Rose Avenue near the Seypec Newport Depot.

In operation as of November 19, 2014, the distribution centre will now be the main distribution point for all Seypec LPG cylinders, lubricants and kerosene.
A press release from the company says the move is to further bolster the safety standards accredited to Seypec by the International Organisation for Standardisation, increasing safety levels inside Seypec’s main storage facility as customers will no longer be required to move in and out of the depot.

Located adjacent to the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC) Maison de Malavois building on Bois de Rose Avenue the distribution centre operates from 8am to 12 noon,  re-opens at 1pm and closes at 3.30pm.

The new building consists of administration offices and warehouse storage facilities for distribution of the various Seypec products.

Noting that this change is solely for the collection of all orders of LPG, lubricants and kerosene, the press release is advising Seypec customers that all transactions of ordering and payment will remain at the current location at the sales office, Seypec House.

“In order to enhance the efficiency of the service, we request that customers pay attention to planning ahead and placing their orders at least 24 hours in advance before collection,” says the press release.

Throughout the month of September and October 2014, Seypec had been engaged in various sensitisation exercises with all its regular customers to ensure the transition of its services at the new distribution centre takes place as smoothly as possible. However, should any customers be unclear of the new changes, they are advised to contact sales office at Seypec House on 4290600.
