Senpa’s annual Xmas fair is on! |19 December 2014

The annual Christmas fair organised by the Small Enterprise Promotion Agency (Senpa) is now on at the agency’s headquarters at Camion Hall and Freedom Square.

As is customary small businesses have come to sell their products to give the Seychellois public the chance to purchase locally made gifts for this festive season.

Why buy ready made imported curtains, cushion covers, beddings when they are available in abundance at the Senpa fair? A dry flower arrangement of local ferns, flowers or other bits and pieces readily available in our environment will go down well as house decorations.

One of the exhibits on sale worth mentioning at this year’s fair are Brigitte Gonthier’s mirrors. Under the business name Seymirror, Brigitte has framed her mirrors in either round or squared frames decorating them with sand and shells. Simple objects gathered from the beach have now become priceless and can be described as ‘objets d’art’. This will make perfect Christmas gifts for everyone.

Parents, your young ones have not been forgotten in the Senpa fair. Booklets of the Institute of Early Childhood Development (IECD) are on sale at only R100.

According to a Senpa representative, the three-day fair, which opened yesterday, will run until 6pm tomorrow.

This year Senpa decided to split the fair into two – one at the Camion Hall for Senpa registered businesses and the other at Freedom Square
