Lemuria Resort chef gear up for international culinary festival |20 December 2014

Chef Aviraj Pareeague from the Lemuria Resort on Praslin will take part in the Festival Culinaire Bernard Loiseau which will be held in March 2015 at the Constance Belle Mare Plage Hotel in Mauritius.

This was announced by executive chef Alexis Voisin during a small ceremony to reward and congratulate those who took part as well as the winners of the local contest Food and Hotel Culinary Challenge held in November last year.

Since 2006, the Constance Hotels & Resorts has orchestrated a one-week Culinary Festival with Relais Bernard Loiseau and its Chef Patrick Bertron. The competition pairs six Michelin-starred chefs with six chefs from Constance Hotels & Resorts.

The main objective of the festival which will be held as from March 21-28, 2015 is to support the exchange, experience and knowledge of the participating professionals, and to link men and women from diverse backgrounds through a common passion: the love of cooking and the art of the table.

The Constance Lemuria Resort took part in the Food & Hotel Seychelles Culinary Challenge on November 28, 29 and 30 last year where its chefs bagged one gold and four silver awards.

The gold award was one by Aviraj Pareeague in the sea food/hot cooking category whereas the silver awards were won by Joe Mario Fernandes (cocktail and creative coffee), Dhanbeer Singh (cake dressing) and Julien Dubois (creative bread display).
