Petroleum firm helps promote ‘Compassion’ and ‘Gratitude’ this Christmas |20 December 2014

The Seychelles Petroleum Company’s headquarters, Seypec House, was transformed into ‘Fun Land’ recently during a special children’s Christmas party hosted for children of the Foyer de la Providence along with children of the company’s staff.

In line with the numerous values based campaigns launched during 2014 such as the Seychelles National Youth Council’s (SNYC) ‘Values for one, Values for All’ and the National Council for Children’s (NCC) ‘Gratitude’ campaign and as part of the spirit of giving this Christmas, the Seypec event brought much joy to the children with an array of fun themed activities from the creative world of face painting, the delights of candy land at the candy floss stand to a tour in the amazing bouncy castle.

‘Compassion’ being the value chosen by SNYC for December, Seypec decided to organise this special event as part of its contribution towards the national campaign as well as help cultivate a greater sense of compassion and gratitude among its employees and their children.

The highlights of the event were the activities animated by the children themselves centering around the theme Compassion and Gratitude while a special appearance by Father Christmas brought smiles to the faces of many.

Seypec, as a people oriented organisation, recognises the importance of the family unit and places great emphasis on the well being of employees and their families.

With Christmas around the corner, the event was also an ideal opportunity for the children to socialise, share gifts and make new friends.
Other activities such as a blood donation and special lunch for a home for the elderly are also on the schedule for this month as part of the company’s efforts to give back to the community.
