Minister Larue brings Xmas cheer to young patients |24 December 2014

Minister Larue interacted with both children and parents while distributing gifts

As is the tradition during the Christmas period, the Minister for Health Mitcy Larue visited the paediatric ward yesterday where she distributed gifts to the children admitted there.

This forms part of her annual visit to different health care facilities during the festive season.
On Monday she visited the North East Point Hospital.

On her tour of the children’s ward yesterday Minister Larue was accompanied by high officials of her ministry including the chief executive of the Health Care Agency Suresh Menon and his deputy Danny Louange.

The hospital choir, singing Christmas songs, and Father Christmas, also accompanied the minister on her tour. They brought a festive mood to the wards. It is to be noted that the Ministry of Health’s hospital choir came out first in the Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation’s (SBC) annual Christmas choir competition this year. The prize money the winners of the competition receives goes to a charity of their choice.

The minister also took this opportunity to interact with the children and their parents and wished them quick recovery.
