The police have reported that 36-year-old Michel Mirabeau of La Pointe who is actually serving a prison term at Montagne Posée was this week convicted on three more different charges.

Before the Supreme Court on Monday, Mirabeau pleaded guilty for arson (count 1) and was sentenced to six years, for house breaking two years imprisonment (count 2) and another two years for stealing from dwelling house (count 3).

Mirabeau’s sentences in count 1 and 2 will run consecutively while count 3 will run concurrently which amounts to a total of eight years imprisonment.
He will start serving the eight years after completing his current term.

Miirabeau committed the three offences on July 17, 2012 at Caryole Estate, Anse Aux Pins when he broke into, stole from, then set fire to the house of Ben Pierre.
