UniSey gets glowing report from University of London |02 April 2015

The University of Seychelles (UniSey) has been awarded Registered Centre status for the various University of London programmes.

This follows a searching review by the University of London.

UniSey now joins a group of institutions around the world that enjoy a close relationship with the University of London International Programmes.

There are also practical benefits that come with this new status.

Most of all, the report is very complimentary about a number of key features of the university. These include a clear vision and a strong sense of governance. Lecturers are very positive about the institution and are praised for being dynamic, enthusiastic and showing initiative. The panel noted a variety of teaching methods and opportunities provided to students who are encouraged to show initiative.

Members of the review panel were pleased to meet a wide range of students, all of whom were forthcoming and very positive about the institution and complimentary about their lecturers.

There is good student support, and one conclusion that gives us particular satisfaction is the panel’s observation that students benefit from studying at a small institution where they experience good quality personal service.

“Everyone at UniSey worked very hard to prepare for the review and the outcome gives us all great pride. It is good news for our students and graduates, good news for our staff, and good news for Seychelles,” says a communique from the UniSey.
