Letter to the Editor - Perfect score for the police |22 May 2015

In a world full of bad news the soul is encouraged when something good happens.
On Wednesday May 20 I was involved in one of those incidents which make life worth living. Property of mine was lost, found and returned to me without my even knowing it had gone missing!

Unbeknown to me, and during my absence in Court, a person visited our Chambers and on her way out took my Tablet from my desk – without anyone noticing – and made off with it. She was spotted a while later acting strangely by officers of the Mont Fleuri police station on patrol, apprehended and found to be in possession of my I Pad. The person made a full confession, the police contacted me immediately and the Tablet was returned to me just a few hours after it had gone missing. All this was done with the greatest professionalism and courtesy.

The Commanding Officer of the Mont Fleuri police station and all his officers are to be commended and congratulated on their outstanding performance. After all the bad press the police get, it would be remiss of me not to publicly acknowledge a perfect score this time. Thank you, all.

Bernard Georges
