Diplomatic Spouses Association donates to Health Care Agency |22 May 2015

Anse Royale Hospital has received four large air-condition units from the Diplomatic Spouses Association (DSA).

The chairperson of the DSA, Alla Belous, handed over the units to the chief executive of the Health Care Agency (HCA) Dr Suresh Menon in a short ceremony at the Anse Royale hospital earlier this week which was attended by members of the DSA, key health officials and Thelma Reginald, the Anse Royale hospital’s nurse manager.

Expressing heartfelt gratitude to the DSA on behalf of the HCA, Dr Menon said the gesture clearly shows that the association supports the development and improvement of our health care system.

“This will automatically enhance the working environment of staff and also make patients feel more comfortable when they are in the different consultation and waiting rooms,” Dr Menon said.

He availed of the occasion to call on other benevolent partners to continue supporting the health services.

For her part Mrs Belous said the DSA is happy to be of help in the important endeavour to bring better health to the people and to continue to strengthen its traditional cooperation with the Ministry of Health.

Apart from the air condition units, which are worth R20,000, the DSA has also donated eight paediatric beds and five cots to the Seychelles Hospital worth some R60,000.

“I believe our donation will provide more comfort, better health and speedy recovery to the patients,” added Mrs Belous.
