Beach football - Unbeaten One Stone top standings |25 June 2015

One Stone are dominating this year’s beach football scene as they occupy first place in the standings and are yet to taste defeat.

With each having played six games in the eight-team league, One Stone, who earlier in the season won the Seychelles Football Federation (SFF) knockout, have a 100% record so far.

With Alpha Baldé leading the charge and players like Jean-Paul Marguerite, Robin Mathiot and Damien Adela, they are proving to be a tough side to go up against as they currently have both the best defence and best attack in the league.

Goalkeeper Adela – who shone for Seychelles at the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (Cosafa) and Confederation of African Football beach soccer championships held here earlier in the year – has seen his side concede only 14 goals so far, with their closest rivals in the defensive area being MLUH who have let in 21 goals.

In attack, One Stone have scored 41 goals so far, five more than MLUH who have scored 36.

Thunderstorm are lying in second place with 12 points, six less than One Stone who are on 18 points after six games.

Defending champions Real Maldives are finding the task of defending their title a difficult one as they currently occupy third place in the standings with 11 points.

At the lower end of the table is Takamaka-based Club Stormy who are carrying the weight of the table with three points from six games, the same total as Beach Boyz and Equator who are above them only on goal difference after they have each won only once.

The following is the beach football league table:
