HSL agrees to support Children’s Foundation |30 June 2015

The Hospitality Supplies Limited (HSL) has signed an agreement with the Seychelles Children’s Foundation (SCF) to provide food supplies and other items to four different children’s homes and orphanages for a period of two years.

The supplies, which will amount to R500, 000 over the two-year period, will be given to the homes in monthly instalments.

The homes which will benefit are the President’s Village, Foyez de Nazareth, Foyez de la providence and Foyez de la Solitude.

An agreement to this effect was signed on Saturday afternoon between Mano Karan, the director of HSL, and Jules Hoareau, the director of the SCF. This took place at the HSL stall at the national show at Roche Caiman.

Thanking Mr Karan on behalf of all the homes and their residents for responding positively and so generously to the foundation’s call for help, Mr Hoareau noted that  the supplies will be of remarkable help for the homes.

“There are increasing demands for children to be admitted in the homes due to increasing social problems and it is very costly to maintain a child and this substantial assistance will be of tremendous help in terms of the care we give to the children in the homes,” Mr Hoareau said.

“In the spirit of National Day I hope this remarkable gesture by HSL will spark the interest of other organisations to come forward and donate generously to the children in homes. Help we receive from government is never enough as children need a lot,” Mr Hoareau pointed out.

Mr Karam for his part noted that HSL is happy to partner with the foundation to help share the cost of taking care of the growing number of children in the homes.

“I am sure this is only the beginning and I also hope that other organisations will also come forward to help the children of Seychelles,” Mr Karam said.
