Heroin seizure at Port Victoria - Suspects released pending end of investigation |31 July 2015

Three suspects arrested during the course of the NDEA (National Drugs Enforcement Agency) investigation into the seizure of over one kilogramme of heroin at Port Victoria on July 7, 2015 have been released by the court pending the completion of the investigation.

Inquiries into the seizure are ongoing.

In addition to the inquiries that remain to be carried out there are a number of suspects whom the NDEA wish to interview that have not yet been located.

Police Communique

The police have reported that a 33-year-old man of Anse Boileau, suspected to have sexually assaulted his eight-year-old daughter who was in his care on July 27, 2015, appeared before court yesterday and has been remanded until August 13.

This incident was reported to the police on July 28, 2015.

Police investigation in the case is ongoing.
