Lions walk for a good cause |01 August 2015

In the spirit of serving the society, Lions Club of Seychelles organised a sponsored walk last weekend in and around Victoria with the aim of raising funds to finance the club’s charitable activities.

The response from the society towards this activity was amazing and it was really inspiring to see nearly 20 school children actively taking part and covering the entire route which was about seven kilometres.

In all, 75 Lion members and other volunteers took part in this activity and everyone made sure they complete the walk which started at 8am.

From Stad Popiler they walked to Francis Rachel Street, Revolution Avenue, Quincy Street, Olivier Maradan Street, Palm Street, 5th June Avenue, Bois De Rose Avenue, Ste Therese Road and back to Stad Popiler via Mont Fleuri, Le Chantier and Francis Rachel Street.

The club has been appealing to all members of society to make generous contributions towards this noble cause.

The Lions Club of Seychelles has been organising various activities this year, especially in the area of health with the organisation of cataract operations camp, blood donation and free eye-testing of students.
