Students learn more about arts in workshop |12 August 2015

Levolisyon bann diferan metye Sesel’ (The evolution of different professions in Seychelles) is the theme of a one-week workshop organised by the National Arts Council (Nac) for secondary and post-secondary students during the August school holidays.

During the workshop students will be able to learn more about art techniques, how to properly use a paint brush. The workshop will prepare the students to take part in the Creole Festival in October.

The coordinator of arts development at Nac, Vivienne Croisée, said that during this one-week workshop new and bright talents are expected to be spotted.

“This workshop will prepare the students to take part in the Creole Festival activities that will take place in October; we teach them different kinds of art techniques, and during such workshops we can discover new and bright talents,” she said.

Three prominent local artists, namely Colbert Nourrice, Alain Samson and James Agricole, are running the training.

The accompanying photos show the students in action on the second day of the workshop yesterday.
