Outstanding success for ISS students |02 September 2015

Students of the International School Seychelles (ISS) have once again outdone themselves in the Cambridge international examinations.

Out of 22 A-Level students three outstanding individuals – Korry Robert, Aurelie Fanchette and Andrea Woodcock – achieved straight A/A* results.

At IGCSE, although all results are not yet published the students are proud of their achievements.

Layla Rigamonti has achieved 11 A*/A grades, Keval Sakhida 10 A*/A , while Ramanan Karunanithy, Mary Xu, Lucy Barios and Rushi Shah all have  9 A*/A  each.

Margaret Pillay, the principal, explained that the ISS is an all-inclusive school that provides a holistic education to students of all abilities and interest.

The Cambridge programme is available for all students who wish to follow any subject without prejudice.

She continued to say that with this background in mind overall the students have done themselves proud.

“With UK pass rates at IGCSE at 69% it is a great credit that our students’ results are over 86% – up 10% on last year,” said Mrs Pillay.
