Disabled learn about service delivery |03 September 2015

A group of 15 disabled students are learning more about service delivery through a training session organised by the Love and Care Association.

The training, which is taking place at the Computing and Additional Learning (ex-Baggio shop) at the Librairie St Fidèle building, is being led by Samantha Alcide.

It started a month ago and will finish at the end of this month.

The aim of the training is to give the disabled the right skills to behave when dealing with people in their line of work.

The chairperson of the Love and Care Association, Anne Jacques, explained that it is very important for the disabled to develop the right attitude when interacting with customers.

Speaking about the various activities the association has organised so far this year she mentioned awareness sessions, painting, photo framing, interior decoration, interactions and games.

To see through such projects, the association needs funds and therefore it is grateful to its sponsors such as Lungos and Barclays Bank.

For the future, the Love and Care Association aims to have a centre to keep disabled together to develop their skills, as well as a place where they can market their products.
