A 20-year-old fisherman of Les Mamelles has been remanded as suspect in two different cases – robbery and trafficking in controlled drugs.

The suspect, who appeared before court on Tuesday, was arrested at his residence on September 1, a day after the robbery report at Castor Road.

Upon his arrest police discovered and seized in his possession R36,000  and a certain quantity of brownish substance suspected to be heroin.

The suspect is being remanded until September 9 when he will re- appear before the court.
