Police Communiqué |01 December 2015

A 21-year-old man of La Gogue has been admitted to the Seychelles Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) following an accident which occurred at Union Vale on Saturday evening.

It is reported that the man, whose condition has been described as stable, sustained injuries to the face and legs after his motor cycle collided with a car which he was overtaking on his way to Victoria. Investigation is ongoing.

A 58-year-old woman of Plaisance was treated and later released after she was hit by a pick-up near GS Pillay shop at Mont Fleuri on Saturday evening. The case is being investigated.

Two accidents were also recorded at Plaisance on Sunday. In the first one three vehicles were involved and in the other one two vehicles which all bumped into each other.
 
In another accident a man fell asleep behind the wheel on the road at Roche Caïman while another man lost control of his car while taking to the highway after leaving the airport.

In the last two accidents both vehicles left the road but fortunately the drivers and a passenger escaped almost unhurt.
