Redeem Christian Church of God donates to President’s Village |31 March 2016

Two parishes from the Seychelles Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), visited the President’s Village recently as part of fellowshipping with the children living there.

The two parishes are Praise Temple (Persévérance) and Power Sanctuary (Port Glaud).

This activity was carefully planned and organised by the men ministry of Praise Temple under the theme ‘Ou pa tousel’ (You are not alone).

The activity took off after 2pm with the RCCG members going to the different houses to fellowship with the 52 children present.

The children were told about Jesus and His love for them, they learned about forgiveness and were able to interact and ask questions throughout the fellowship.

“They were timid at first and that is understandable,” a spokesperson for the group said.

Later everyone gathered in the “food hall” for the presentation of a donation that was handed over to the manager of the village, Toussaint Melanie by the pastors.

The donation consisted of clothing among other items such as footballs and volleyballs.

“We pray that the small but meaningful gesture goes a long way in making the children aware that indeed ‘Ou pa tousel’,” the spokesperson said.

The idea for such gesture came after the men ministry of Praise Temple decided to raise funds for their fellowshipping activities by having the congregation bring forth clothes and items of value to sell during last Christmas.

The visit continued with football matches and volleyball well into the afternoon.

Indeed it seemed that time was too short as both parties were reluctant to part ways after spending such an enjoyable afternoon together.

The RCCG team is already planning another visit as follow-up and to really show these children that they are not alone throughout this year 2016.
