. Home for the elderly obliged to cancel activities

The Pointe Larue Home for the Elderly has announced that due to the recent demise of two elderly citizens who had been living in the Home, it has been obliged to cancel activities planned for the coming weekend.

The fund-raising weekend which would have included a variety of different activities will now be held at a later date.

The Home will communicate the new dates in due course, and expresses regret for not being able to hold them on April 29 and 30 as planned.

Pointe Larue will however not be dull this Labour Day weekend as the district’s women’s organisation is organising a happy hour on Saturday evening.

The event will be held at the district administration office as from 6pm. The public is being invited to take part in activities such as karaoke, dominoes and other games, a raffle as well as what the organisers have promised to be surprises.

Food and refreshments will be on sale.
