Employees display artistic, cultural talents |05 May 2016

Fifteen different groups of employees from several organisations – both public and private – on Friday evening took part in a cultural show to display their artistic and cultural talents.

The employees’ talent show, now an activity which is becoming more and more popular on the calendar of events to mark Labour Day or Workers’ Day each year, took place at the International Conference centre of Seychelles (ICCS) and is improving each year the organisers say.

Raymond Clarisse, artistic coordinator who has worked closely with the organisers of the event during the rehearsals to polish the presentations, said the different groups of employees have come up with their own artistic creations and ideas and noted that these have improved greatly over the years.

There was a variety of entertaining pieces from standup comedy, sketches, traditional as well as modern dances, fashion shows... which kept the audience entertained all throughout.

Well-known individuals on the artistic and entertainment scene led and guided their work colleagues to display their hidden talents. This was the case with the team from Air Seychelles led by Vurna and a group from Maia Resort led by Simon Amade.

Employment and Human Resources Development Minister Idith Alexander, key officers from the same ministry, work colleagues and representatives of different work places and members of the public attended the show to give their support to fellow workers and friends.
