Cypriot ambassador to Seychelles accredited |01 June 2016

Andreas Panayiotou is the new Cypriot ambassador to Seychelles.

He presented his credentials to President James Michel at State House yesterday morning.

Ambassador Panayiotou said he conveyed greetings of the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades to President Michel.

He said during his deliberations with the President they spoke about the bilateral relations between our two countries which date back to the exile to Seychelles of the first President of Cyprus, Makarios III.

“We both expressed the will and commitment to further the already existing excellent relations,” he said.

He also said that further discussions with the Seychelles government will centre on the development of cooperation in air services, tourism promotion, investment, commerce, trade, the Blue economy and the environment.

The Cypriot ambassador is based in Muscat, Oman.
