Microsoft offers new technology to SMEs |16 June 2016
Small and medium businesses (SMEs) in Seychelles have had the opportunity to empower themselves more by making technology a business advantage.
This was through a workshop organised by local Information Technology (IT) service provider Space 95.
The main speaker at the workshop, which was held yesterday morning at the Eden Bleu Hotel, was Kan Mongwa, a senior consultant from Microsoft who has been in the IT industry for over 20 years.
Other than showing the advantages of Microsoft solutions, Mr Mongwa also presented business representatives present with the benefits of hardware and visualisation, how to manage virtualised systems as well as cloud computing,
According to Space 95’s sales and marketing manager Ana-Maria Suzette, the latest innovations in the world of technology can help businesses develop further, while there are a growing number of solutions relevant to the most pressing concerns of small and midsize businesses.
“As Microsoft’s certified partner in Seychelles, we are excited to be able to participate in the programme and to share Mr Mongwa’s expertise with our local customer base. We are looking forward to exploring new ways that we can partner with our customers using Microsoft’s world-leading solutions,” she said.
Mr Mongwa’s visit to Seychelles falls within the ‘MySkills4Africa’ programme which allows Microsoft’s professionals to give their time and expertise to organisations and businesses across Africa on a volunteer basis.
In addition to yesterday’s workshop, the expert will be conducting individual meetings with customers to discuss how Microsoft and Space 95 can further assist them.
