Businesses to gain further visibility at National Show |27 June 2016

Various businesses, agencies and departments of all sizes are taking part in a four-day National Show at the National Sports Council (NSC) Hall at Roche Caiman where they are showcasing their services and products. The show, which has become an annual event, forms part of activities to mark the 40th anniversary of our Independence Day on June 29,  which is also our National Day.

The show is a means for businesses to gain visibility and also as a marketing tool.

Today we feature a few businesses exhibiting their products and the reasons they say they are taking part in the 2016 National Show.

THE FURNITURE GALLERY

The Furniture Gallery started trading on January 21, 2015.  It is a furniture and household accessory import and retail business selling to private individuals and other businesses, such as guesthouses and hotels.

“Our main objective is to source quality products and sell at a fair and competitive price. We believe that there was a gap in the market with regard to mid-range to higher quality furniture and accessories and the feedback we get from our customers appears to confirm this. At The Furniture Gallery we have a passion for good solid furniture, using ethically sourced wood and other natural products. Aesthetics is equally important; so we do our best to offer our customers beautiful products that would embellish their own private spaces,” owner Daniel Payet explained.

He said The Furniture Gallery will soon be moving to new premises at Huteau Lane in Victoria.

“We believe that it would be easier for our customers to access our showroom, as we will be more centrally located,” said Daniel.

As for his participation in the National Show, Daniel said: “We are really excited to be part of the National Show, this year, as our country celebrates its 40th anniversary since we got our independence. This show has established itself as the main expo in the commercial and non-commercial calendar of our country and it has become the prime space where we can interact with established and potential customers.”

SAMSUNG (Cellular Services (Pty) Ltd)

SAMSUNG (Cellular Services (Pty) Ltd) is also using the National Show as a marketing tool and for the business to be seen. As explained by Mr Raja Ramani, Samsung as a brand is fast becoming popular.

“We are showcasing a part of each category for consumer awareness of our quality, value for money after sales support and the energy efficiency of our product lines to educate consumers more on our brand values,” says Mr Ramani.
He added many of the products at the show will be on promotion sale but strictly for that period between June 26 and 29. Some amazing deals are available on TV, air conditioners, fridges, washing machines. TEFEL and MOULINEX, two brands represented in Seychelles by the company, are also available with great offers.

MAKITA TOOLS AND ACCESSORIES

‘We are here to show Makita products’
Almost every carpenter in Seychelles has a MAKITA tool to work with. The brand has been in existence for quite some time and very popular in the construction circle in here.
MAKITA has a 5x5 stand at the National show and its agent here in Seychelles is BODCO Company Ltd.
“What we are displaying are mainly power tools. Makita also celebrated 100 years of existence last year. It is now coming up with innovative products; is shifting a lot on all types as batteries which allow lots of flexibility when using the tools. It has cut off the need to drag along lengthy power cables,” said Dean Soundy from Bodco.
He said Makita tools are long lasting, light to carry around and easily operated. The Makita stand is displaying a variety of products.
“We are proud to showcase Makita as a global brand here in Seychelles to celebrate this forty years of independence anniversary in Seychelles,” said Mr Soundy.
