Yo-han Park, the managing vice-president of Korean Air yesterday afternoon received Minister Alain St Ange, the Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture at the Korean Air Headquarters at Seosomun-ro in Jung-gu Seoul for tourism discussions.

This meeting follows a series of press meetings held by Minister St Ange in Seoul and a press conference referred to as a 'full house' yesterday afternoon.

The Seychelles delegation in Seoul on a working visit also headed a workshop, the first for South Korea by the Seychelles authorities.

Mr Park was accompanied at this meeting by Koh Jong-Seob, the general manager of passenger marketing team at the regional headquarters of Korean Air and Joo-Yeon Lee, the deputy general manager of the passenger marketing team and the person who is also responsible for liaising between the airline and the South Korean travel trade.

On his part Minister St Ange was accompanied by Sherin Naiken, the chief executive of the Seychelles Tourism Board; Dong Chang Jeong, Seychelles’ honorary consul in South Korea and Julie Kim, the manager of the Seychelles Office in Seoul.

The meeting at the Korean Air headquarters was an opportunity to discuss the return of Korean Air to Africa and the steady growth of visitor arrivals in Seychelles from South Korea.

“We found the meeting to have been cordial and indeed interesting. We were appraised of the Korean Air forward planning, and can safely say that we have now invited the top brass of Korean Air to visit Seychelles,” said Minister St Ange as he left the headquarters of Korean Air in Seoul.
