Airtel pledges support to local beauty queen |27 July 2016

Airtel Seychelles has announced that it will support the needs of Seychelles’ reigning beauty queen Christine Barbier to the Miss World Pageant that will take place later this year in Washington DC.

The company’s managing director Amadou Dina said this when he met Miss Barbier recently at the firm’s headquarters at Providence.

The meeting was set up by Airtel as a gesture of gratitude and support towards Miss Seychelles … Another World programme including the organisation of the pageant, the event which ultimately selects the beauty queen.

Mr Dina expressed words of congratulations to Miss Barbier for winning the coveted title alongside other accolades which are Miss Talent, Miss Sports and Miss Personality.

“As a sign of recognition, Airtel will support her needs to the Miss World Pageant that will take place later this year in Washington DC,” said Mr Dina.

The managing director also praised Miss Barbier for the initiation of her project entitled ‘Construction of a half way home for the youth emerging from the foster care institution’ which he described as worthwhile to our society and to which his support could be relied upon and given Airtel’s proven reputation when it comes to community involvement.

On her part, Miss Barbier thanked Mr Dina for making time to meet her and for his continuous support towards the Miss Seychelles … Another World programme.
