National Assembly-Health minister in Question Time |02 August 2016

The Minister for Health, Mitcy Larue, will be in the National Assembly this week to answer several questions relating to her ministry.

The questions will address the ministry’s plans to work more effectively with the community and educatethe public regarding the control of rats, given the increase in fatalities resulting from leptospirosis; the ministry’s progress with regard to the development of partnerships with private clinics and pharmacies; constraints being encountered by the ministry to complete the renovation and extension of the Les Mamelles clinic and the costs associated with the project; and the results of the study undertaken on infant mortality rate.

The Minister for Environment, Energy and Climate Change, Didier Dogley, will also appear before the House to deliver a statement on waste management in Seychelles.

In addition, a motion has been tabled by the leader of government business, Charles de Commarmond, calling on the House to approve the ‘SADC Protocol on Trade in Services’.
