Local products take centrestage at Enterprise Bazaar |26 September 2016

Local entrepreneurs once again gathered at the Avani Barbarons Resort & Spa on Saturday evening for another Enterprise Bazaar hosted by the hotel.

Organised by the University of Seychelles through the Enterprise Institute, the bazaar also saw the collaboration and support of the Seychelles Tourism Board (STB), Small Enterprise Promotion Agency (Senpa) and the Ministry of Investment, Entrepreneurship Development & Business Innovation, alongside other agencies responsible for the promotion of small enterprises.

The bazaar is aimed at promoting the local entrepreneurs.

Present was the director of the Enterprise Institute Marie Celine Zialor.

On offer were various local products such as handicraft, handcrafted soaps, Creole food like shark chutney, papaya salad, moutay, Creole cake, nouga, just to name some. An interesting attraction was the Library Museum and Artefacts of Emmanuel D’Offay with an impressive collection of old items like records, books, lamps (fannal), jugs and lots more.

A group of youths from Grand Anse Mahé performed cultural dances like the moutya. There were other traditional music as entertainment for the evening.
