One thing we're good at as music fans is anticipation. The thirst for new music from our favourite artists keeps us in a continuous state of anticipation. Who's releasing a new single? Who's reuniting? Who's reissuing which beloved classic? When our desires are fulfilled it's a thrilling rush and a rewarding validation of the time and emotional energy expended on loving our favourite artists.

If you are a huge fan of ‘Swagg Tunes’ and have been waiting for their new album to hit the market, the wait is over ladies and gentlemen... The group have recently released their new album entitled ‘Gete Ou Menm’.

The group is composed of Rupert Dogley (Rio) 21 years old and Trevor Bristol (Style) 23 years old, who started their astounding  career in 2013 with the hit song ‘Ne Pour Ou’. Three years later they have scaled the hierarchy by releasing their first album.

“This album has taken a lot of energy to make; you have to love music to be able to release an album. We wanted to please our fans. Each and every song on the album has a unique feel, and it’s all because of the passion we put into our music,” they said.

‘SwaggTunes’, whose music can be heard on the radio, in night clubs, at parties among many other places, have established themselves as being creative and willing to do the necessary and overcome all obstacles in such industry.

The 14-track album features such hits as ‘Gete Ou Menm’, ‘Konn Ou’, along with brand new setters like ‘Vre Lanmour’ and ‘Donn Li’.

Also featuring on the album are such artists as Ion Kid, JDA, Merceneray, T-Trey, Elijah and JC.

The album can be purchased at the usual outlets on Mahé, for example Kot Do, Tanmi Shop. ‘Gete Ou Menm’ costs only R150 in outlets and R125 if you buy it from the artists themselves.

The two brothers have the following advice for youths who are still trying hard in the music industry.

“You can never go wrong by being yourself; many people are present to give you the support you need to achieve your goals in life,” they said.

The duo want to thank everyone who have helped them especially their wonderful mother Bernette Leon.

“Big up to our producer Daryl Canaya for believing in us. A special thanks to our mentor Elijah and thank you mum for your understanding, we love you so much. And thank you all our loyal fans all over the country.”

It is a new season in the music industry in our small island, where you have talented individuals battling to have the number one spot, individuals who want to climb the ladder and come up with massive hit songs.  All those individuals have massive talents and willing to journey and build their legacy…that’s what ‘Swagg Tunes’ is all about.

If you want to witness the duo live, they will be present at the Auto Moto Xmas Car Show at the Ex SMB Hall this Saturday. ‘Gete Ou Menm’ album will be on sale at R100.

‘Swagg Tunes’ will soon be having a live concert and the date will be announced soon. Stay tuned!
