AVANI thanks their trade partners |25 November 2016

The managerial, sales and reservation teams of destination management companies (DMCs), airlines and other tourism institutions enjoyed a masquerade themed night at AVANI Seychelles Barbarons Resort & Spa.

As the year comes to an end, the fun-filled gathering on Wednesday night was a way for the AVANI team to thank their partners for their support.

Present during this auspicious occasion were representatives from Sri Lankan Airlines, Cheung Kong Travel, Qatar Airways, Air Austral, Creole Travel Services (CTS), Solaris Travel Club, Emirates Airline, 7 South, Mason’s Travel, Kenya Airways, Condor, Ethiopian Airlines, Air Seychelles, Luxury Travel DMC, Seychelles Tourism Board (STB), Seychelles European Reservations and Destination Seychelles.

Over 150 guests showed up for the celebrations which started at 6pm with a warm red carpet greeting of welcoming drinks, then followed by a delightful Panafrican and Thai fusion pass around finger food which was served in the lobby.

To give them a taste of the very same venue that the DMCs sell, the party was moved into the Takamaka conference room where the guests were treated to a surprise show by Angie and Sandra with their best hits.

Angie also showcased her clip filmed at the resort for the song entitled ‘Satisfaksyon’.

A raffle was also drawn where guests could win various prizes for activities at the hotel such as a one night stay, spa time, brunch and dinner for two, Kreol Kabaret and Thai cooking classes.

AVANI general manager Stephane Vilar introduced the six staff members which their partners contact on a daily basis.

The sales team includes the senior director for sales Jessica Giroux, sales manager Crystal Abram and sales executive Solanna Camille while the reservation team consists of the reservation manager Carol Lesperance and the reservation agent Virginie Barbe and the revenue manager Manu Tewari.

Mr Vilar said this is a way to thank them for their cooperation and promoting them on the market as the new AVANI brand.

“The entire AVANI team thanks all our partners and DMCs for the excellent collaboration and reservations they have booked as well as the support they have given to the AVANI resort in 2016,” he said.

He made a firm commitment that this event will be held next year with more surprises.

Commenting on the Kreol Cabaret held every last Friday of each month at the hotel, he said it is a great hit with the locals as well as tourists as they appreciate the Seychellois cultural heritage aspect.

Mr Vilar took the opportunity to invite the general public to a grand Christmas market being held on December 8, 9 and 10 at the resort from 6pm to 10pm.

“This event is like the ‘Bazaar Barbarons’ which is held on the second and last Saturday of the month but on a bigger scale with the participation of Reunion, Madagascar, Tahiti and Seychelles,” he said.
