KLN, a photography and video production firm for everyone |05 December 2016

KLN is a professional photography and video production company which has recently expanded and now providing a wide range of printing services.

It is owned by Darius Crea and according to him, is well known among the youth and businesses.

KLN (Kit Ii Normal), believes in promoting and working with its locals both as individual citizens and local businesses.

Kit Ii Normal is the motto of the company.

“I have been filming since secondary school, but back then it was just for fun. It was only when I was in Mauritius that I started to take a vast interest in photography as I wanted to capture the beauty around me. I felt that it was not enough, that I wanted to do more. Photography was one thing but filming came later on. I feel connected to my camera and with it I want to revolutionise the videography industry, for Seychelles deserves the best and that is what I plan to give to the people,” said Darius.

Explaining why he chose that name KLN, Darius saidthey started with a plan to develop the industry in so many ways, but to stay as humble as possible in the process and even though they may expand as they are currently doing.

“Our motive will always remain the same. So we try our best to Kit Ii Normal bothsocially and professionally,” he said.

How did it all come about? Darius said the business was launched in 2014 but really got off its feet in 2015 and is going strong until now.

“So far so good. We are moving forward one step at a time. We strive to provide a professional, quality service in Seychelles and with the team we aim to see this vision through. In 2017 we are expanding the company and soon ‘Coral Ink’ printing will become well known among the youths and people of Seychelles,” said Darius.

Darius started KLN alone and was practically doing everything by himself. It was his family and close friends who supported and help him.

“But as time went by, both the job and the demand of the people were on the rise. And a team is what one needs to run such a business smoothly, in addition to a good leader,” said Darius.

Darius is self taught though, he said, a lot of youths nowadays believe that if you do not have qualification you will not become anyone and will not go far.

“I can’t blame them due to the pressure of society. That’s how most of us are brought up by our family. But my message is that you are your own limitation. Teach yourself to become better and one day you will open your own company too. But believe me when I say it does not come easy,” he said.

As for the approaching festive season, Darius said they always enjoy Christmas. And as the company was set up during the festive season of 2014, this year it celebrates this time of year with new services of gift printing, a change from the usual buying of gift by people to give to their loved ones.

“This year we are offering you the chance to make your loved ones feel special with a unique gift at a discount of 25%,” he said.
