Mr Zeitouni briefed Minister St Ange on the support he was receiving and confirmed that the first flight of Qatar Airways was scheduled for 8.50am on December 12.

The seven weekly flights with an Airbus 320 will have 144 seats with 12 Business seats on this Seychelles service.

The plane will remain on the ground at Seychelles International Airport once landed and it will depart to Qatar at 7.20pm daily.

Minister St Ange used the meeting to welcome Mr Zeitouni to Seychelles and to reassure him that his ministry will remain good facilitators for them and for all airlines flying to Seychelles.

“We shall be with you at the airport to welcome your first service and assure you that we shall work with you for the success of Seychelles tourism and also of Qatar Airways,” said Minister St Ange.
