Cus Mun releases debut album |15 December 2016

Seychelles’ music industry has come of age. Over the years numerous talented music artists have created a name for themselves by coming up with new singles or launching new albums.

This month another gifted music artist who has featured on many other artists’ work in the past has launched his first album. The artist is no other than Cus Mun.

Some of the hit songs that Cus Mun has featured in include Koz Mon fanm, Ou’n Anmenn Lalimyer, I Dir Mwan File, Ou Lanmour, among others.

By launching his 10-track album entitled Cus Mun, the talented singer has proven that if you work hard in this industry, you can accomplish so many magnificent things, even launching your own album.

“In such colossal music industry you always have to stand out, and be able to create your own flow and rhythm. Throughout my career I have always wanted to launch my album, and this year my dream came true. For my first album I decided to give it the title Cus Mun, because it is all about me,” he said.

The album, which is a mix of reggae, dance hall and sega, is all about the positivity of life. All the tracks are in Creole.

“Being able to express my feelings from words into beautiful melodies is simply God’s blessing. I could never ask for more. This album is made out of pure love,” he said.

Cus Mun also brought three artists to feature on his first album, and they are Lom Nick from Rodrigues Island, the one and only Tania Jeremie and the talented Chrystyle from La Digue.

The album can be purchased at the usual outlets on Mahé, for example Kot Do and Tanmi Shop. Cus Mun costs only R125 in outlets and R100 if you buy it from the artist himself.

Cus Mun also wishes to thank everyone who were part of his journey to release his first album.

“I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you out there who supported me since day one, those who never stopped believing in me, your words and actions inspired and motivated me to never give up,” he said.

He also took time to thank his producer Michael Savy (Ion Kid), Extra Big, Vince Construction (Vincent Mondon), SP Photographies (Shayne Pothin), and Cable Tunes.

Cus Mun has got the following message for his fans:

“To all my fans out there who have bought or are planning to buy a copy of my album, I want to thank you not for buying it but taking time to really enjoy this masterpiece and sharing the joy, happiness and excitement with me, as I promise to deliver more in the near future.”
