Rita Richez (Romain), a Seychellois living in France and who is very passionate about singing, performed various songs on Seychelles during the Miss Nationale Petite 2017 contest held in France last month.

Miss Nationale Petite has been created for candidates measuring less than 1m70 and therefore cannot take part in the official Miss France contest in which the minimum height requirement is 1m70.

The jury was composed of personalities and professionals of casting, fashion, cinema, footballers and television.

“I was honoured to perform Seychelles songs and making the audience discover the Seychelles.

The songs I interpreted included Bare Bare Sega, Sega Music Sa, J'ai tant besoin de toi, Lanmour Desire, Zis Larm and La Klerte.

Zis Larm is one of Rita’s recent video clips, something she is also passionate about.

There were two other contests on that day like Miss Nationale 2017 where the participants are aged from 18 to 28 years old, are single and without kids, measuring more than 1m70 and residing in one of the French Territories. Each region of France was represented and also the DOM TOM (French Territories) such as Reunion, Tahiti, New Caledonia, Mayotte, French Guyana, Martinique and Guadeloupe.

The other contest that day was MISS New Model France 2017, a prestigious and honorary internationally-recognised title awarded to those who wish to start a career as a model and which can lead to “showbiz”, cinema or television.  It is also a true “spotlight” allowing them to apply to the biggest agencies of models and models throughout the world.

The winners were offered the realisation of a VWB (Video Web Book) professional that will allow them to highlight their physical and artistic potentials.
