Insurance firm Sacos rebranded |21 February 2017

• New Wealth Enhancer investment product launched

Red, white and black is now the new face of Sacos Insurance Group.

The official rebranding launch took place in a short ceremony on Friday at the Eden Bleu hotel.

The brand has two key elements, the logo and the gap. The logo has a number of versions between the three colours depending on the application that it is being used for and the gap is also used fairly interestingly.

The new logo will be applied to Sacos branded items such as pen drives, pens, vehicles, umbrellas, calendars and gift bags.

The chief executive officer John Esther presented samples of the items including their new magnetic licensing disc, e-mail signature and signage to mark premises among others.

During the ceremony Sacos also launched its new unit-linked Wealth Enhancer Investment product, which is the first of its kind to be introduced on the Seychelles market.

It is a single premium or lump sum investment product that could be invested for terms of 5,6,7 years starting with a minimum of R25,000 and expected to generate attractive returns.

Sacos Life general manager (GM) Percy Quatre said the idea to come up with the new product is because “we need more life in life”.

“The existing product within our range is exhausted and tired so we brought up the Wealth Enhancer as growth is our business,” he said.

Nitish Benimadhu from SWAN Mauritius gave a brief overview of the new product specifications.

Mr Esther said that the re-branding is going to be a process which his team is going to work at.

“The rebranding is not only about the images which will be projected to the outside world, it is also about how we as an insurance company will interact with you our clients and other key stakeholders,” he said.

He said he wants Sacos to be the pre-eminent insurance company of Seychelles, to be the market leader not a follower in terms of bringing in new products and business process for others to follow, to be ‘here for you’ which means to be a lot more flexible, always aim to serve, provide relevant solutions, have competent and trained staff.

“Another key thing is that we will always feature happy people, smiling people because we want to spread joy to our clients,” he said.

Mr Esther also highlighted the various actions that will be taken to achieve their goal of being the pre-eminent company such as the introduction of a new general insurance system and a tiered comprehensive insurance system, affordable housing insurance, mobile money payment, complaints/ compliments handling system among others.

Present during the ceremony were key business partners, clients, members of Sacos board of directors, members of local insurance association, partners from SWAN Mauritius and staff members from executive committee.

The guests were also able to witness models of the uniforms which the employees will be using as a group of the staff members paraded in their new attire.
