Cleaners learn more about the value of ‘honesty’ |24 March 2017

The month of March has been dedicated to the value of ‘honesty’.

To understand more about this value, 22 members of the Cleaner’s Cooperative (CC) from various work places took part in a session yesterday afternoon.

The brief session took place at the CC offices at Kingsgate House.

‘Honesty’ refers to a facet of moral character and connotes positive and virtuous attributes such as integrity, truthfulness. It also suggests being trustworthy, loyal, fair and sincere.

It was the chairperson of the CC board, Marie-Ange Denis, who launched the half-day session.

“Values are the things that you believe are important in the way you live and work.  They determine your priorities; life can be much easier when you acknowledge your values and when you make plans and decision that honour them. Honesty is valued in many ethnic and religious supports, in work areas it is important to have honesty,” she said.

Beryl Dodin, who is a counsellor at the Seychelles National Youth Council (SNYC), coordinated the session.
