Skychef launches: Easy Meal, simply heat it and eat it |27 March 2017

                                                                                           

Skychef has launched its new ready-made meal ‒ Easy Meal ‒ which is an innovative new product that offers the Seychellois population a convenient, freshly-made and tasty food option.

Easy Meal is a collection of five ready-made meals which are mainly based on traditional Creole recipes. People will be able to enjoy Skychef’s chicken curry, octopus curry, fish with Creole sauce, beef stroganoff and lasagne.

The product was launched on Friday just before lunchtime at the Skychef Shop at the International Airport by director Georgia Van Heyste accompanied by sales and marketing manager Sharon Botchoix and all the members of management of Skychef.

The first customer received a small token presented by Mrs Van Heyste and Ms Botchoix.

Skychef has said the product will also be available at its Independence House snack shop starting from April 1, 2017.

“Over time, we plan to add more recipes and make the product available in other outlets,” said Mrs Van Heyste.

She added that the ready-made meals are available both in single and multi-portion packs, which are attractively priced at R70-85 per single portion and R160-250 for multi portion.

These meals, which can easily be heated in three minutes, are cooked fresh daily by our chefs and don’t contain any artificial colouring or preservatives. Just place the black tray, without the carton sleeve and after piercing the film in several places, into the microwave for three minutes. After the heating is complete, peel back the film and enjoy.

“Or as we like to say: ‘Simply heat it and eat it’,” added director Van Heyste.

“Given our high quality and food safety standards, these ready-made meals were tested in Europe and we have been certified with a three-day expiration time. Easy Meal is the result of great team work. Over the course of the last six months, our chefs, as well as Skychef staff from our operations, procurement, marketing, finance and food & beverage teams worked tirelessly together in order to develop this amazing new product
