Hainan delegation calls on Mayor of Victoria |08 April 2017

The vice-chairman of Haikou Municipal People’s Political Consultative Conference Wang Chuanron paid a courtesy call on the Mayor of Victoria

David Andre yesterday morning.

The visit marks ten years of relationship between Seychelles and Hainan, the smallest and southernmost province of the People's Republic of China.

Mayor Andre stated that Hainan has played a key role in helping Seychelles in the past years.

“Seychelles and Hainan share a good relationship since 2007, and this year marks ten years of this relationship. Such bond will allow Seychelles to have more connection abroad in many domains,” Mr Andre said, noting also Hainan’s assistance to Seychelles sports.

The delegation also discussed the importance of tourism, culture and sport, crafts, youth, voluntary work, agriculture and trade and investment.
