Belle, Ernesta the big winners

Belle, who earlier this year won the annual Eco-Friendly Marathon, was the first athlete to cross the finish line after running in the 10km race in a time of 37 minutes 49 seconds (37:49), about five minutes faster than second placed Gerald Jaomaro who took 42:32 to complete the race. Sajith Nawarathne was third with a time of 1h04:10.

For the women, it was Florise Ernesta who finished first, crossing the line after 55:36, while Carol Palmyre was second in a time of 58:11. Maggy Harray was third with a time of 1h00:30.
