14 contestants to vie for the coveted crown

Fourteen contestants will be taking part in this year’s national beauty pageant Miss Seychelles ... Another World.

A ceremony to launch the event took place last week at the International Conference Centre (ICCS) where the Creative Industries and National Events Agency (Cinea) and Telly’s modelling agency presented the contestants for this year’s pageant.

Present during the short ceremony were the Minister for Youth, Sports and Culture Idith Alexander, special advisor for culture Emmanuel D’offay, principal secretary for youth and sports Fabian Palmyre, chief executive of the National Arts Council (NAC) Jimmy Savy, among family and friends of the contestants and other guests.

The main sponsors of this event, the date of which is yet to be confirmed, are Jouel and Seychelles Trading Company (STC) among other partners.

The contestants are Keisha Pereira, Serah Jumaye, Seychelles Worth, Ralista Hortere, Tracy Fançoise, Joanna Pouponneau, Stephie Bastienne, Hillary Joubert, Petra Tamatave, Nerli Haide, Nancy Esparon, Ella Marie, Falaine Dora and Angie Desnousse.

The reigning beauty queen of Seychelles is Christine Barbier who was crowned Miss Seychelles...Another World in May 2016.
