NDEA communiqué - Five persons charged with offences against NDEA agents |29 May 2017

A woman and four men were charged in the Supreme Court by Judge Burhan on Friday May 26, 2017 with offences which they committed and which led to their arrests by NDEA agents at Petit Barbarons on May 25, 2017 during an NDEA operation.
They were charged with the following offences: 1) Assaulting or attempt to assault an NDEA agent and (2) Delay, obstruct, impede, interfere with, and resist an NDEA agent.

They were released with the following conditions after signing a bail bond of R25,000 each:

-          They will report to the Central Police Station every Friday morning.

-          They should not commit any offence during the time that they are still being charged.

-          They will surrender their passport to the court.

The five persons will reappear before the Supreme Court on June 1, 2017.
