Michael Benstrong appointed deputy CEO of Nouvobanq |10 July 2017

President Danny Faure has appointed Michael Benstrong as the deputy chief executive of the Seychelles International Mercantile Banking Corporation Limited (Nouvobanq).

The appointment takes effect on July 15, 2017.

Mr Benstrong holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies, majoring in Accounting and Finance.  He has an extensive background in Banking, Funds Management and Investment.  He has 10 years' previous experience in bank management, having served as deputy managing director of the Seychelles Savings Bank, and later as the chief executive of the Seychelles Commercial Bank. He has served as a minister in the government of Seychelles since February 2015, and held various portfolios, including Investment, Entrepreneurship Development & Business Innovation, and most recently he held the portfolio for Fisheries and Agriculture.
