Football - Five Seychellois officials on overseas mission this weekend |13 July 2017

Five Seychellois officials will be on overseas mission this weekend in Swaziland and Mauritius in the second round of matches of the southern zone Total-sponsored 2018 African Nations Championship (Chan) qualifiers.

Referee Emile Fred will lead his team comprising Gerard Pool, James Emile (assistant referees) and Alistair Barra (referee to act as fourth official) to Swaziland to officiate the first leg match between the host nation and Zambia on Sunday at the Somhlolo National Stadium

As for veteran referee Jean-Claude Labrosse he will be the match assessor when Mauritius host Angola on Sunday in Port-Louis in another second round encounter.

Mauritius were held to a 1-1 draw by Seychelles in the first round return leg, but advanced 3-2 on aggregate score having claimed a 2-1 victory in the first leg played at home.

Officials for all continental matches are chosen by the Confederation of African Football (Caf).

Meanwhile, Madagascar and the Comoros will also be in action this weekend in the second round.

Madagascar, who claimed a 2-0 win on aggregate score (1-0, 1-0), will meet Mozambique and the Comoros will take on Lesotho.

After the taking place of the second leg matches, the winners on aggregate scores will advance to the final round of the southern zone qualifiers for the tournament designed exclusively for footballers playing in their domestic leagues.
