Meet the contestants

Exactly one week ahead of the big event, Seychelles NATION today presents its readers the 14 young and beautiful ladies who will be vying for the coveted Miss Seychelles … Another World 2017 crown.

Meanwhile online voting is on through Airtel on 9689 and Cable & Wireless on 9688 for Miss People’s Choice.

The Miss Seychelles … Another World 2017 beauty pageant will be held on Saturday August 26 starting at 7pm at the Avani Resort. Tickets are on sale at R1,500.

Contestant No. 1: Keisha Pereira

Keisha Pereira is a 19-year-old student studying at the Seychelles Business Studies Academy. She is also a recent graduate from the School of Advanced Level Studies.

Contestant No. 2: Angie Denousse

Angie Denousse is 21 years old. Angie works at Victoria Computer Services (VCS) and enjoys listening to music, dancing and exercising.

Contestant No. 3: Falaine Dora

Falaine Dora is 18 years old and lives at Les Mamelles. Her hobbies include watching television and a little bit of photography.

Contestant No. 4: Joanna Pouponneau

Joanna Pouponneau, 24 years old, is a volunteer as the youth, culture & sports commissioner at Ceps (Citizens Engagement Platform Seychelles).

Contestant No. 5: Hilary Joubert

Hilary Joubert, 23 years old, is from Glacis and is currently working at the Mauritius Commercial Bank as a Customer Service Representative/Greeter.

Contestant No. 6: Stephie Bastienne

Stephie Bastienne, 19 years old, is a sales executive at the Hospitality Supplies and has a passion for singing. Stephie enjoys listening to music and watching movies.

Contestant No. 7: Ella Marie

Ella Marie is 19 years old and lives at Mont Buxton. She is currently studying at the Seychelles Tourism Academy for an Advanced Diploma in Tourism and Tour Guiding.

Contestant No. 8: Petra Tamatave

Petra Tamatave is 23 years old and resides at Beau Belle.  She is currently a student at the University of Seychelles doing a degree in Business Administration with specialisation in International Business.

Contestant No. 9: Seychelle Worth

Seychelle Worth is 20 years old and lives at Anse Severe, La Digue where she is managing her family business.

Contestant No. 10: Ralista Hortere

Ralista Hortere, 21 years old, works as a journalist with the Seychelles NATION newspaper.

Contestant No. 11: Serah Jumaye

Serah Jumaye is 25 years old and is the sales coordinator at the Kempinski Seychelles Resort.

Contestant No. 12: Nancy Esparon

Nancy Esparon, 18 years old, lives at Anse Aux Pins and is a second-year student at the Seychelles Tourism Academy.

Contestant No. 13: Tracy Françoise

Tracy Françoise is 18 years old from Anse Boileau and is currently a second-year student at the Seychelles Tourism Academy studying Tourism and Tour Guiding.

Contestant No. 14: Nerli Haide

Nerli Haide is 19 years old and lives at Belonie. Nerli is currently working at Cerf Island Resort as a guest relations officer.
