NDEA communiqué - Three more remanded in connection with importation of drug |21 August 2017

Following Thursday’s order by the Magistrate Court to remand four men in connection with a case of conspiracy to import a controlled drug and importation of a controlled drug, three more men were on Friday similarly remanded in the same case.

The seven men have all been remanded until Friday August 25, 2017.

The three men remanded on Friday are a 62-year-old South African national and two Seychellois -- a 66-year-old father and his 34-year-old son, all three of them skippers.

The National Drugs Enforcement Agency (NDEA) has seized one local fishing vessel and a yacht so far as exhibit in this case.
