Esplanade kiosks, Camion Hall to be renovated |22 September 2017

Renovation work on the Esplanade kiosks and Camion Hall in Victoria will start soon now that all procurement and tender procedures have been finalised and approved.

Work on the Esplanade kiosks is scheduled to start on October 2 and is expected to be completed by December 22 this year.

The tenants will have a grace period for the three months while work is being undertaken.

The Small Enterprise Promotion Agency (Senpa) will be providing temporary spots in the ex- Children’s Playground to allow the vendors to continue their sales during that period.

Special arrangements have also been made with the Seychelles Ports Authority for flexibility and special security for the 20 tenants from the Esplanade kiosks to be allocated space inside and outside the port area to sell their products when cruise ships call.

All tenants will have to evacuate the premises before October 2 and should not have access to the kiosks while work is being undertaken as precautionary measures.

As for Camion Hall building, renovation work will start on October 18 and is expected to be completed in January next year.

Work on the building will be done in four phases ─ first being on the main office, followed by the right wing of the building, the left wing and the final phase will be the lower grounds.

Tenants will be given notice before work starts.

According to Senpa, all tenants at the Esplanade kiosks and Camion Hall have been consulted about the upcoming renovation work.
