Dulux Paint donates to Cascade primary school |23 September 2017

To commemorate World Peace Day (WPD), local paint manufacturing firm Dulux Paint (DP) has donated

a batch of educational books to Cascade primary school.

The books, printed in South Africa, will instill in the pupils a passion for books and enhance their knowledge in different subjects.

They will also enable the pupils to succeed in their studies, develop better communication skills, more logical thinking skills, mastery of language, enhance concentration and discipline among others.

The books were handed over in a small ceremony yesterday morning at the Cascade primary school by the director of DP Denis Payette to the head teacher of the school Barbara Medor in the presence of teachers and pupils of the school.

Accepting the donation, head teacher Medor pointed out that the books will enhance the education of the pupils.

“The great relationship between Cascade primary school and DP was created a couple of months ago to strengthen the link between the school and the community. The donation has a specific reason, which is

to help improve the pupils’ achievements as well as the school’s performance,” she said.

On his side Mr Payette said it is important that we invest in the pupils, because they are the future.

“We believe in basic education for our students, education is the key to succeed nowadays, by having a great education, you can become responsible citizens. DP does not only make profit, we also want to give back to the community,” he said.

Educational books have the power to make the pupils become more focused on their studies, and can make learning fun at all levels.
