A new bar and lounge has opened its doors at Eden Island.

Fire & Ice - bar and lounge (ex-Carambole) was opened last Friday Night to the delight of its owners Marsha Parcou and partner Kirschlee Naidoo.

It was the chief executive of the Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) Sherin Francis who had the honour to open the establishment in the presence of the principal secretary for tourism Anne Lafortune and other invited guests.

The Fire & Ice – bar and lounge overlooks the beautiful backdrop of the Eden Island and boat marina.

The Fire & Ice - bar and lounge will cater for day and night entertainment with drinks and light snacks. It will also be available for hosting private events and other life style entertainment.

“We did a market research and we found that there is a demand for nightlife entertainment in Seychelles for locals and tourists. A place where you can enjoy, relax and feel secure and this is why we came up with this idea for this kind of product,” said owner Parcou.

Catering for up to 250 people, Fire & Ice – bar and lounge, filled with lots of light and sound, will also host private functions and other lifestyle entertainment. It will operate as a full restaurant also by next year.

The place is fitted with a pool, outside lounge with bar and a large interior with bar and a VIP area. Entrance will be strictly for persons of 21 years and above, especially at night events where activities will go until the morning hours with dancing entertainment. Persons below the age of 21 years will only access the place during private functions or at certain periods of time during the day.

“We want mature couples not to feel out of place in a place filled with youngsters. We want it to be a place where you can come, enjoy and relax peacefully,” Miss Parcou said.

The Fire & Ice – bar and lounge will open Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 11pm but on Fridays and Saturdays it will end its activities at 4am. It will not open on Mondays and Tuesdays. The management hopes in the future to organise activities for families by the pool side on the Sundays.

In declaring open the Fire & Ice – bar and lounge, CEO Francis congratulated the owners for their accomplishment and said it will be a great entertainment place for the locals but will most importantly add another attraction and another choice for the new generation of travellers who are not only looking for sun, sea and sand.

“They are looking for more experience, they are looking for nightlife and they are looking at ways to spend the very much valued Euros and Dollars, so thank you Marsha for adding this new product for Seychelles,” she said.

The name Fire & Ice was the idea of owner Naidoo who was inspired by the name of the South African Fire & Ice Hotel, which the couple is very familiar with.

They also own “Chatterbox”, a popular café at Eden Plaza.
