National Assembly’s IAC meets foreign affairs delegation |19 October 2017

The Foreign Secretary of Seychelles, Ambassador Claude Morel, has met the International Affairs Committee of the National Assembly chaired by Jean-Francois Ferrari.

The meeting involved discussions on the outcome of the European Union Political Dialogue and the ‘Our Ocean’s Conference’ in Malta, as well as a status update on recent developments of the Libyan embassy in Seychelles.

During the consultation, other avenues on the restructuring of the department, the framework for the new budget for 2018, and the new initiatives embarked on by the department of Foreign Affairs in the last six months were explored.

Hon. Ferrari chaired the meeting and was accompanied by Jude Valmont, Noline Sophola and Flory Larue.

Also present at the meeting accompanying the Foreign Secretary was a delegation from the department of Foreign Affairs consisting of Ambassador Michelle Murray, principal secretary in the department of Foreign Affairs; Tessie Julienne, director general for administration and finance; Ian Madeleine, director for protocol and other officials of the Seychelles department of Foreign Affairs.
